Every electronic appliance and device around us such as washing machine, refrigerator, television and mobile phone are composed by electronic and information technology.　In our department, the Department of Information Electronics, students learn all-round electronic and information technology.　In the first year, mainly basic mathematical skills, which are necessary for studies of special subjects, are studied under small-group instructions.　In the second year, students choose either of the two courses: Fundamental Course of Information Electronics and Advance Course of Information Electronics. These courses prepare not only the specialized knowledge and skills but many programs for successful careers in the various branches of electronics and information engineering. Engineering design I in the third year and Engineering design II (Undergraduate Research) in the fourth year improve the students in problem-solving skills by themselves as well as by group collaborations.

1.Information upskilling by using laptop computer

In this department, all the students are supposed to have their own laptop computer.
It allows them to study using the computer in every class throughout the all four years and leads to make their information skill up.

2.Selective study specialized in electronic or information

At the beginning of second year, students chose one of the two specialized courses: Fundamental Course of Information Electronics and Advance Course of Information Electronics. Henceforth students study main subjects of information electronics engineering such as solid state electronics, semiconductors, integrated circuit, electronic circuit, system LSI, optoelectronics, measurement, control, signal processing, computer and information processing.

Class of Computer Measurement

Our program offers two engineering design subjects, which consisted of Engineering Design I and Engineering Design II. Students participate in the engineering design process and learn how to design, build and evaluate solutions to their own problems. They are expected to develop the skills for solving problems, and to acquire important basis skills such as communication and leadership.
