1963	April	Establishment of Department of Engineering, Institute of Electron Technology,Fukuoka Dempa Gakuen Corp.
1966	April	The name of the Institute was changed to Fukuoka Institute of Technology. The name of the Junior College was changed to Fukuoka Junior College of Technology.
1973	September	The corporation's name was changed to“Fukuoka Kogyo Daigaku”
1993	April	Establishment of Graduate School of Engineering with Master's Degree Course
1997	April	Establishment of Faculty of Information Engineering in the Institute with Departments of Information and Systems Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering and Industrial and Information Engineering. (The existing Departments of Information Engineering and of System Management Engineering within Faculty of Engineering were reorganized into the above.)
1998	April	The name of Electronic Material Science Department was changed to Functional Materials Engineering Department.
1999	February	Alpha building completed
	April	Establishment of Doctor's Course, Graduate School of Engineering, with majors of Material Production System Engineering and Intelligent Information System Engineering The name of Department of Electronic Mechanical Engineering was changed to Department of Intelligent Mechanical Engineering
2000	October	FIT Arena ( new gymnasium ) completed
2001	February	A building completed
	April	Establishment of Faculty of Social and Environmental Studies with Department of Social and Environmental Studies
2002	April	The name of Department of Electronic Engineering was changed to Information Electronics The name of Master's Program of Electronic Material Engineering was changed to Function Material Engineering The name of the junior college was changed to Fukuoka Institute of Technology, Junior College
2003	April	The name of Master's Program of Electronic Mechanical Engineering was changed to Department of Intelligent Mechanical Engineering
2004	January	B building completed
	April	Information & Communication Engineering Course established in Graduate School and Master's Program The name of Department of Industrial and Information Engineering was changed to Management and System Engineering

2005	April	The name of Department of Functional Material Engineering was changed to Life, Environment and Materials Science
2006	April	The name of Electric Engineering Course in Graduate School for Master's Program was changed to Information Electronics
