For seven years running, communication skills have been cited as the most important factor in employment.
According to a survey conducted by the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations, members of the organization chose communication skills as the most important element. Instructed to choose 5 out of 25 items they focused on when recruiting new staff, the percent of the companies choosing communication skill was 81.6%, an increase of 5% over the previous year.
