学校法人福岡工業大学は、1954年に福岡高等無線電信学校として創設されて以来、電子・通信技術の振興を原点に、大学では3分野（工学部・情報工学部・社会環境学部）、短期大学部では1分野（情報メディア学部）の領域で社会に貢献できる人材を育成してきました。「For all the students ～すべての学生生徒のために～」を経営理念に掲げ、学生の学び・成長・成功を教職員一丸となって支えています。
Since its establishment in 1954 as the Fukuoka Higher Radio Telegraph School, Fukuoka Institute of Technology has been dedicated to advancing electronics and communication technologies. Over the decades, we have cultivated professionals who contribute to society through three faculties at the university level: the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Information Engineering, and the Faculty of Social and Environmental Studies, and one department at the junior college level: the Department of Information Media.
