Most of these events are social gatherings. They are held in various places, ranging from areas around Fukuoka Institute of Technology to downtown areas such as Hakata and Tenjin. The venues also vary, including yakiniku restaurants, hot pot restaurants, and beer gardens. There are no particular rules except for a "non-smoking" policy. Everyone simply drinks and eats what they like and enjoys friendly conversations with others in a relaxed atmosphere. In recent years, we have held these gatherings according to a schedule like the one shown below.
- Around April: Welcome Party for New Lab Members
- June–July: Celebration for Career/Graduate School Decisions
- Early August: End-of-Semester Party (First Semester)
- Around October: BBQ Party (with third-year students)
- Around December: Year-End Party
- Around February: Final Party after the Graduation Research Presentations
Besides social gatherings, we have also organized events such as bowling tournaments in the past. The specific activities often depend on ideas and plans proposed by the students themselves.
BBQ Party and Year-End Party
However, even during these fun events, it is important not to get carried away and cause trouble for other customers or fellow members. Through these activities, we hope to build a positive atmosphere that also encourages everyone to work hard on their research!
