Brush up the men's watch design!

On the men's watch design page, we introduced an interactive evolutionary computation system for tablet devices. In this page, we introduce a women's watch design system that is an upgraded version of the men's watch design system. The following figure shows the parts of a ladies' watch design.

The parts of a ladies' watch design

Looking only at the parts, the men's watch is just a ladies' version. However, we have made minor changes to the evaluation interface. Evaluating a design by paired comparison is the same as the men's watch design system. However, the women's watch design system allows for a "like both" or "dislike both", that is, a draw evaluation. In the case of paired comparison evaluation, the user must choose either one. However, in the case of "I like both" or "Both are subtle", the user feels a mental burden because the user is confused about the choice. Therefore, we implement a draw evaluation.
The figure shows the interface of the ladies watch design system. We placed the button for draw evaluation at the bottom of both designs.

When the user evaluates the designs with a draw, the evaluation values of both designs are made the same, and the round moves to the next.

When we conducted an evaluation experiment, many subjects said, "It is easier to evaluate if there is a draw evaluation." However, the evaluation time tended to be longer than when there was no draw evaluation. In future, we will investigate whether to take "ease of evaluation" or "short time".
