I like this one, but I also like another one,,,How many do you like?

What would you say if everyone is asked "What's your favorite food?" 「"Sushi" "Steak" "Curry" "Anything if sweets" etc. People say various favorite foods because people's sensitivity is different for each person. Well, here is the next question, how many foods do you like?

Probably, we think many people have multiple favorite foods. However, there is a bias in food preferences of each person. So, people 's tastes are often diverse.

In this research, we recognize that human preference varies widely as "multimodality" of human preference. And we verified and analyzed about "How much monomorphism (bias) is there in person's preference?" Until now, we conducted verification to analyze the degree of preference for Y shirt design of multiple subjects using various Y shirt designs.

Y-shirt design parts

Y-shirt design example

The designs of the Y shirt are generated by combining each design part. generate some of these Y shirt designs. And users evaluate their degree of preference by his/her sensitivity. Then, we analyzed the evaluation trend and verified the multimodality of human preference. Below figure is the result of analysis by clustering about evaluation tendency of each user.

Result of clustering (Ward method, k-means method, SOM)

Regarding clustering, it is a grouping of data in a nutshell. From these results, we confirmed that some users have the same evaluation tendency as other users.
